Text2D objects are two dimensional and Text3D objects are three dimensional. Text3D objects are 3D geometric objects created as an extrusion of the text.

Text3DApp renders a single, rotating Text3D Object. The Text3D object has material properties specified along with lights so that the Text3D object is shaded.
